Modi 2.0: Tussauds came to town and got a measure of NaMo
If his insistence on a 600-foot monument of Sardar Vallabhai Patel was any sign, Narendra Modi is a huge fan of statues. It's why there are seemingly endless pictures of him scrutinising China's terracotta army and why an Indian Madame Tussauds was announced on his visit to the UK last year.
And that last one seems to be paying off: finally, Modi's ultimate dream is set to be realised - no, not a 'Hindu Rashtra' you sickular fiberals, but a selfie with himself... the man is set to get his own statue at the iconic wax museum.
A team of artists and experts was even given a private audience with the notoriously hard-to-meet PM to measure him. Sadly, we won't know the vital statistics of India's very own Vitalstatistix as Tussauds never reveals the measurements of its subjects.
In a statement Tussauds also confirmed that Modi will be dressed in "signature kurta in cream with jacket". Tussauds haven't mentioned whether the statue will undergo four costume changes a day for the sake of authenticity.
While Tussauds claim they will have four Narendra Modi statues at each of their current locations, we wouldn't be surprised if it's just one dummy constantly flying from one country to another like the original.
With Modi's supposedly 56-inch chest we just hope his statue doesn't go the way of Nicki Minaj's.
