"Want to see Make in India impact Assam": marketing professional Subhankar

Elections are not just about politicians. They are about people and issues. And what really drives their vote.

Catch is, therefore, starting a 'Meet the Voter' series to capture what different impact groups in the poll-bound states are feeling. This is true insight into the upcoming assembly elections: up-close and hyper-personal.

Subhankar Bhowmik is a consultant for a marketing and public relations firm in Guwahati. As a young professional, Bhowmik feels that he would vote on the issues of development, health and education.

One of the biggest things Bhowmik is keeping his eyes on is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project, Make in India. He says so far, the programme seems to have had no impact at all on Assam, and that the state needs industrial development as a means to generate employment.

Watch what else is on the wishlist of this 31-year-old marketing professional for the upcoming Assembly elections.
